The Perpetual Rosary, in Poland also called the Perpetual Rosary for the Deceased ("Nieustajacy Rózaniec za Zmarlych") was founded by fathers Petronius Martini OP (Bologne) and Timothy Ricci OP (Florence) in 1636. It was introduced and spread in Poland by father Anastazy Cieżkowicz OP. (d. 1731). The pope Alexander VII approved the Perpetual Rosary in 1656. The oldest register books of the Perpetual Rosary have been in the Dominican Basilica in Kraków since 1738. Members of this Rosary fraternity pray three chosen parts of the Rosary at a fixed hour on a fixed day once a year or once a month (during the day or night). |

Previous membership in the Rosary Confraternity is recommended. Saying the Rosary in the Perpetual Rosary does not bind under sin. Participation in the Eucharist and the reception of the Holy Communion on the day of the prayers are recommended. You participate in prayers for the deceased by:

Every application to the Perpetual Rosary for the Dying and the Deceased is confirmed with a certificate containing the full name of the applicant. Pray, say the Rosary and practice much mortification for sinners. Since many are condemned, because no one prays for them or atones for them. ATTENTION!
